In His Wakes is fueled by three passions … people, water sports and Jesus Christ. If you share any of these passions, you are sure to be blessed by this ministry! Our team travels nationally and internationally encouraging people of all backgrounds to ‘get off the dock’ and take to the waters of life with passion, purpose, hope, and confidence through our “A Day to Remember” and “On the Shores” Programs.
A Day to Remember
Provides an opportunity of a lifetime for predominately at-risk youth by giving them an unforgettable day on the water. Participants engage in various water sports such as swimming, boat riding, knee boarding, water skiing and wake boarding. These activities break through walls of fear, distrust, and low self-esteem and expose the joy and smiles that have been suppressed by a life time of challenges. Through the on-water activities, the time invested in the participant’s life, and the life changing message of Jesus Christ, the “A Day to Remember” becomes a starting point for a new life for the participants as they gain confidence, self esteem, and new found hope to face the challenges of life.
On the Shores
In order to impact the water sports community, In His Wakes travels to selected professional and amateur water sports events where we hold church services open to the athletes, corporate sponsors and water sports enthusiasts.
At these “OTS” events, In His Wakes operates a ministry booth where individuals can find out more about the ministries of In His Wakes and be encouraged to use their talents and resources to be a blessing to others. This division of ministry also organizes speaking engagements where professional water sports athletes are given a platform to share the true ‘Source’ of their strength.
